Tina Pittaway - JournalistI’m an award-winning journalist with more than twenty years experience in news and current affairs programming.  In the last decade I’ve added podcasting,  custom content and communication planning to my roster of skills.  It’s an exciting time to be in media and communications, with so many new platforms and ways of connecting with audiences.

The work I am most proud of has been in the area of audio documentary production.  My stories have been recognized with honours from the Canadian Association of Journalists,  the Canadian Science Writers’ Association,  the New York Festivals,  Amnesty International and the Gabriel Awards.  I’ve produced interviews for some of Canada’s top journalists including Anna Maria Tremonti,  Alison Smith and Michael Enright.

Prior to my documentary work, I was in television production as a director and field producer.  I have experience in web writing, and in print journalism with national magazine credits in Chatelaine,  Best Health,  Maclean’s,  Reader’s Digest and Wired.

More recently,  I’ve put my radio production skills to good use for clients in the development and production of podcasts for both niche and general audiences.

I have a solid understanding of communicating in both online and traditional environments,  using print,  broadcast,  social media,  video,  audio and podcasting to support messaging.
